Is there any law enforcement angency that will give a second chance for someboby that has been in trouble ?

i was a correction officer at age 20.i done the most undesirable crime that a officer could do.i had a few girlfriends that were incarcerated while i was working in a jail.they had were all in there thirties.i allowed care packages to come in for the ladies,and did not check them.they had contraband and drugs ,but i never saw them.well,i ended up with cl a misdameanors for having relations and deferred ajudication felonies for the drugs,with no conviction.i never saw any drugs,but it was my responsibility to check the packages.i made a young man mistake.i am 40 years old,with wife and children.i am wondering if anybody in texas would give me a second chance.my only concern ,is to support my family,and i would perform my duties in a proper manner.my father retired as a peace officer and i always wanted to become one,but my mistake,stopped me .i would do peace officer,detention officer,corrections,border patrol.anything that aybody could offer,that paid enough to support my family.i have employment,i am just trying to find that second chance of my dream.it seams like 20 years living life right,could make somebody consider giving me that chance.
