Spotting while 5 months pregnant?

Just a second ago while in the ladies room I spotted a little bit of blood. It was bright red. I barely feel my baby kick as it is so I cant tell whats going on to know if the baby is still having healthy kicks because I rarely ever felt anything before. My last sonogram was only about a week or so ago and everything was great. Its a girl. But now Im worried. I went to hospital before for bleeding but I was only about a month and a half along at the time. I get cramping from time to time. When I went to hospital before they sent me home. What could it be? Could something be wrong? It was just a little blood and I will keep checking for more.
