I have a Sony Vaio VPCCW13FD and as of late it will seize up and freeze?

I have a Sony Vaio VPCCW13FD, and as of late it will seize up and freeze - in reality its just working insanely slowly as I have had audio playing when this has occurred and was treated to garbled bit by data bit rendition of a song. I have to actually manually turn off the computer and restart before it will work. All my security scans come up clean and this seems to coincide with when my computer is performing two or three tasks at once. The only odd thing I've noticed is that Vaio Care crashes whenever I try to use the Self-Heal option. This, of course, creates this totally arbitrary idea that Self-Heal is the solution to my problem. But please, let me know what you think!
