How do i unlock a Samsung Captivate that had too many pattern attempts?

I don't mean when you unlock it so you can use it with any service. My little cousin was playing with my phone and she kept trying to draw patterns on the phone and now it's saying phone locked, too many pattern attempts and now i have to put in a email and a pword to unlock but it still won't unlock it.. Any help please?
